What I do
I come alongside nonprofits and churches at the point where the mission meets the machinery — the accounting that needs to make sense, the projects that keep falling behind, the process that nobody's had time to document. I show up, explore what's actually happening, and together, find what works.
1. Concrete action that honors the worth of every human being.
2. The irreplaceable, unglamorous, essential effort required to translate intention into impact.
"The nonprofit sector is full of people who carry real vision, careful plans, and genuine desire to make a difference. Together, we give that desire its footing."
1. Grace; undeserved favor. Worth given because of who you are, not because of what you've earned, proved, or deserved.
2. The animating spirit of the nonprofit sector, which exists to embody undeserved favor, where people arrive carrying a weight the world says disqualifies them and find favor anyway.
"Because grace is real. Because the dignity of every person is not contingent upon what they can earn, prove, or deserve, but on who they are."
1. The moment when the right tool, system, or solution clicks into place and the organization can breathe again.
2. What the best administrative infrastructure does: invisibly, reliably, completely.
"When the accounting makes sense, the database pulls the right report, the project lands on time, there's a simple, resounding sense: it works."
About
Betsy Huebner
Betsy brings twenty-three years of nonprofit finance and operations experience, including sixteen years as Executive Director of an independent nonprofit fund and eleven as Director of Finance & Administrative Operations at a church in Ann Arbor, Michigan. She manages a $700K annual budget, leads organization-wide technology and systems projects, and has spent two decades making the machinery of mission-driven work actually work. And empowering nonprofits is personal for her. As an adoptive mother, Betsy is connected to nonprofits such as adaptive sports organizations, limb-difference advocacy, family counseling, and more, and she knows firsthand why their work matters. She comes alive helping organizations like these thrive.
Let's find what works, together.
